Tom Light is a Ph. D. candidate in the economics department at Cornell University. Tom�??s research focuses on studying the efficiency and reliability of alternative electricity market policies. Under the supervision of Professor Richard Schuler, Tom and two other graduate students completed an analysis of active real-time demand and supply-side market structures. Recently he developed and implemented an experiment to test the role of cross border power trading on competition, reliability, and economic efficiency.
